Manatee Mania Adventure

Four nights, five days, and the kind of Florida that doesn't have a turnstile. Snorkel with manatees in Crystal River, kayak a spring you can see straight to the bottom of, and heckle some gators at Gatorland — then let the pool and the suite kitchen handle the recovery.

How booking works
1
Book your suiteReserve your nights with “Build your stay” on the right.
2
Book your activitiesUse each day’s ticket link to reserve those directly.

Your hotel and activities are booked separately — that’s how you get the best direct price on each. There’s no single combined checkout.

Day by day, here's the trip.

Three real Florida adventures, two easy days to dry off — and a home base that makes the early starts painless.

Good to know before you book: Manatees are wild animals and sightings are never guaranteed. Crystal River and Blue Spring draw the most manatees in the cooler months — typically November through March — when they gather in the warm springs; in warmer months you may see few or none. Tours run rain or shine, and what you see varies with weather, water clarity, and the season. Approximate drive times from the resort: Crystal River about 90 minutes, Blue Spring about 60 minutes, Gatorland about 20 minutes. All tours and park entries are operated by independent third parties and booked directly with each — pricing, availability, and age/height rules are set by the operator.
Your Suite
Day 01 Check-in · No tickets needed

Land, unpack, exhale.

Roll in, grab the keys, and drop into a suite with a full kitchen, a private balcony, and enough room that nobody's fighting over the bathroom. Stock the fridge at the Publix five minutes away — you'll want easy breakfasts before tomorrow's early start.

Tonight's wide open: cook in, swim, or wander to dinner. Set an alarm, though — tomorrow you're getting in the water with 1,000-pound teddy bears.

Included with your stay — nothing to book.
🤿 Crystal River
Day 02 Guided tour — book ahead

Swim with the sea cows.

About 90 minutes northwest, Crystal River is the only place in North America where you can legally snorkel alongside wild manatees. You'll suit up, slip into the 72-degree spring water, and float quietly while these gentle giants drift right up to say hello. Guides handle the wetsuits, the boat, and the where-to-go — you just have to remember to breathe through the snorkel.

It's the kind of morning the kids describe for years. Book an early tour for the calmest water and the most manatees.

🛶 Blue Spring
Day 03 Park entry + kayak rental

Paddle water you can see straight through.

Blue Spring State Park sits about an hour north, and the spring run is so clear it looks photoshopped. Rent a kayak or canoe at the park, glide along the 72-degree water, and keep your eyes peeled — in cooler months hundreds of manatees pile into this very spring. Pack a picnic from the suite kitchen and make a half-day of it.

Calm water, shady banks, zero crowds compared to the parks. The kind of day that resets everyone.

🐊 Gatorland
Day 04 Tickets required

Maximum Florida, zero shame.

Twenty minutes down the road sits the "Alligator Capital of the World," and it is gloriously, unapologetically old-school. Watch the gator-wrestling and jumping shows, meet the rare leucistic white gators, let the brave kid ride the Screamin' Gator zip line over the breeding marsh, and snap the obligatory photo under the giant gator-mouth entrance.

It's kitsch done right — the kind of place that's somehow even better than the parks for an afternoon.

Pirate's Plunge Pool
Day 05 Included with your stay · No tickets needed

One last float, then home.

No alarms today. Sleep in, make a big lazy breakfast in the suite, and let the kids get one more morning on the pirate ship and in the pool before checkout. Pack up slow, settle the crew, and roll out salty, sun-tired, and already plotting the next trip.

Included with your stay — the pool's already yours.
